Shiloh

Shiloh

Shiloh was founded in 1978. The founder's vision was to build a community settlement which will be run in the spirit of the Torah and will continue the tradition of the spiritual center that existed in Shiloh at the time of the Mishkan.
Shiloh serves as an anchor to all the young settlements in the area in education, agriculture, commerce and employment.

Vehadarta Senior Club

Shiloh has a senior club for the senior citizens of Shiloh. The club provides a “home” for lonely elderly, new olim and seniors with medical problems.

The members club is a magnet and meeting place for the seniors of Shiloh, where they can enjoy meetings and interpersonal connections, diverse and rich cultural activities, adapted classes, a feeling of home, connection with the community, a sympathetic ear, individual and community treatment and follow-up optimized for this target group.

It is important to note that most of the participants have no ability to travel for entertainment and the club provides them with occupation, social meetings, a brake in loneliness and hot food.

In order to provide this, the shelter and it’s surrounding area have to be renovated, to become a nice, warm and friendly place that is adapted and accessible to older or disabled citizens, a place that the citizens of Shiloh will want to use and not keep looking for other options

Beni Akiva House in Shiloh

Bnei Akiva in Shiloh has about 280 chanichim and about 50 staff members, who participate in many weekly activities on Shabbat and in the middle of the week. Additionally, the Nachson team initiates many volunteer activities in the community. This is the place where they can grow and give of themselves and receive values in a good atmosphere.

In the last years the activities are held in a small old building that is too small for all the members, so it was decided to move to a new wide place that fits the number of participants and the fast growth do the advanced building in Shiloh.

Making the Shiloh pool accessible

The Shiloh pool serves the residents of the whole Shiloh block and in doing so contributes a great deal to the community during the summer season by providing employment and recreation especially for the children on the area.

Our goal is to make the pool accessible by adding a special lift to the pool.

The lift will allow people with disabilities to get in to the pool easily and safely.
